Stunted Growth (1994)

5 1/2" x 7" pen and ink and watercolor on board.

Stunted Growth was painted for the Ice Age expansion set of the collectable card game, Magic, the Gathering. This is the 2nd Magic Card and the 2nd painting I ever did. I was so frightened of the paint that this piece is mostly rendered in pen and ink and just lightly tinted with the paints.
